2016 Honda Accord Coupe HFP [Photo: TFL]A coupé version of the Accord has been available since 1989, but no longer, says Honda. 2017 will be the final year for this car, as two-door sales are plummeting and demand for crossovers dominate today’s automotive landscape. Less practical than the standard Accord, the coupé appealed directly to the enthusiast. With a 278 horsepower, 3.5-liter engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission, this car clocked up a respectable 5.6 second 0-60 time. Despite its zest over the sedan, the coupé comprised a fraction of total Accord sales, so this car will bow out with the Accord’s 2018 redesign. If you want the ultimate two-door Accord and the last V6 in the lineup (new Accords will only house four-pot turbos), now’s the time to buy.
