The SRT team of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles created a dynamic, new supercar for the Gran Turismo® 6 video game.
The SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo, which FCA US released a video and teaser images on Friday, is a single-seat hybrid powertrain concept vehicle that features an aggressive design with exposed carbon fiber, Viper-like hoodscoop and five center-mounted exhaust pipes.
Since master programmer Kazunori Yamauchi issued the challenge last year, over a dozen automakers answered the call and designed Vision Gran Turismo concepts specifically for GT6. The latest comes from FCA, and it’s almost as radical as the Chevrolet Chaparral made for the same series.
In celebrating 15 years of Gran Turismo, Polyphony Digital announced a unique partnership with a number of leading automotive manufacturers, design houses and other leading global brands. Design teams from Alfa Romeo, Alpine, Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Bertone, GM Design, Honda, Infiniti, Italdesign Giugiaro, JORDAN Brand, Mercedes-Benz, Nike, Nissan, Peugeot, SRT(FCA), Volkswagen and Zagato will create concept models giving a unique insight into the future of the automotive sector. Their designs will then be recreated as working cars for GT6.
Polyphony Digital will release the cars gifted downloadable content (DLC) to owners of Gran Turismo 6 through an online update.
