The fact that many parts of the country are locked down by huge quantities of snow and ice does not help the sales of the low ground clearance and front-wheel-drive midsize family sedans. Not all of the sales data is in yet (we will update ASAP), but there are three stand out midsize sedans for February 2015.
The Toyota Camry continues sales gains and has a comfortable lead over the Nissan Altima, which declined. The redesigned 2015 Chrysler 200 continues big sales gains with 31.0% improvement. It does offer AWD as an option. Mazda6 also sees big success in February. It grew sales by 28.4% over last year. The face-lifted 2016 Mazda6 is coming online, so the zoom-zoom sedan should continue to do well.
In other news, Ford Fusion took over the third sales sport from the Honda Accord for February.
