2016 Chevy Camaro prototype

TFLcar spies the top secret 2016 Chevy Camaro prototype. This test car has a very peculiar additional camouflage covering the entire roof. There was another sighting of the next generation Camaro without the roof cover. Could this be the Convertible?

The all-new 2015 Ford Mustang has just been released, and the Dodge Challenger received a facelift. The Camaro also had a facelift for 2014, but it’s not stopping Chevrolet from testing the next generation of the sports car.

2016_chevy_camaro_convertible_frontThe other big question has to do with what’s under the hood. The new Mustang has a small 2.3L turbocharged four-cylinder. Could the next Camaro pack turbo power as well? GM has the 2.0L turbocharged motor at its disposal. The 2.0 liter is currently capable of 272 horsepower in the Cadillac. It may be possible for Chevy to bump the power up to the 300 hp mark. The base normally aspirated 3.6L V6 and the 6.2L V8 should return for duty as well.

Check out this fun and informative TFLcar first drive comparison, including the current 2015 Chevy Camaro.
