2015 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T

The 2015 Hyundai Sonata is fully redesigned with a new angular look. It’s offering a full line of powertrains and trim levels with the exception of the Hybrid, which will come later. (You can still buy the previous generation Hybrid alongside the redesigned 2015 model.) This test car is the top of the line 2.0T Sport with the most power and sporty appointments throughout.

The heart on this family sedan is a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 245 horsepower @ 6,000 rpm and 260 lb-ft of torque @ 1,350 – 4,000 rpm. Yes, the horsepower rating is down from previous year, but take a look at the torque specs. It comes in low and stays flat. It means that you have great power for daily driving. The car has a powerful take-off and strong passing power. All the ponies go to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission. There is no AWD available on the Sonata.

Interior is spacious and updated. The 2.0T Sport has additional touches like color stitching and piping on the seats. It also has a large trunk of 16.3 cu-ft and gets an excellent five laundry baskets rating!
