TFLcar got an in-depth look at many brand new debuts from the 2014 New York Auto Show. However, there are a few cars that stand out from the crowd. This show was no exception.
3: 2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe
There are very few cars that can claim statistic numbers close to the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe. Its 5.5L Biturbo V8 is chucking out 577 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of twist to the 4Matic all wheel drive system, which is capable of launching this plush rocket ship to 60 mph is under four seconds. Yikes!
2: 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C
The 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C finally marks return of the storied Italian brand back to United States. Its ultra-light body structure is propelled by the mid-mounted engine sports 237-horsepower and 258 ft-lb of torque – 80% of which is available at only 1,700 rpm. This 1.75-liter (1750 cc) engine is turbocharged, direct-injected and is mounted to a paddle-shifting Alfa (TCT) twin-clutch transmission. Power to weight ration is close to 10 pounds per horsepower, so this sports coupe should be a stellar performer.
1: 2015 Dodge Charger
Extensive front and rear exterior updates on the 2015 Dodge Charger make this muscular sedan look years away. Police departments use the Charger as pursuit vehicles, and you will be shaking in your boots if you see this grille and flashing red-and-blue in your rearview mirror. The full-size sedan has a slightly more compact appearance and now uses Chrysler’s 8-speed automatic transmission with V6 and HEMI V8 engines.
