The Lexus NX is still fairly fresh off its second-generation redesign, so changes are minor.
Right now, we’re awash in automakers launching completely updated new models or at least bringing cyclical changes for their mid-decade models. The 2025 Lexus NX is the latter, as the brand’s compact crossover just had its major overhaul for the 2022 model year. As such, we’re mainly looking at some packaging changes, quality-of-life improvements and small cosmetic tweaks like a new paint color. Predictably, pricing also increases by between just $35 and $2,385, depending on which trim you choose.
On the trim front, the 2025 Lexus NX still offers four options: Standard, Premium, Luxury and F Sport Handling. Powertrain options remain the same as well, ranging from the base NX 250 to the more potent NX 350, the hybrid NX 350h and the plug-in hybrid NX 450h+. MSRPs start at $41,725 for the NX 250 Standard including Lexus’ $1,150 destination charge, and rise all the way to $64,530 for the NX 450h+ F Sport Handling.
Each 2025 Lexus NX model adds two USB-C ports to the center console as well as optional wireless charging across the lineup. Lexus’ “Intuitive Parking Assist” with automatic braking is now standard, as are rain-sensing wipers and a power liftgate. Copper Crest, a launch color for the RX 500h F Sport Performance, is now an option on the NX for $595, while Macadamia is a new interior color option on Luxury trims.
The 2025 Lexus NX 250 kicks off the range with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine shared with the Toyota RAV4, making 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Entry-level models are front-wheel drive, though you can add all-wheel drive capability to the 250 models for an extra $1,600. Once you get to the 275-horsepower/317 lb-ft torque NX 350 and beyond, all-wheel drive is standard fare. If you opt for the NX 350h, you’ll get the 2.5-liter four-pot rather than a 2.4-liter turbo with the standard 350, though two electric motors help boost the output to 240 horsepower (as well as 39 mpg combined).
Sitting at the top of the range, the 2025 Lexus NX 450h+ gets more powerful electric motors and a bigger battery pack, offering a combined output of 304 horsepower. Like the Toyota RAV4 Prime, the plug-in hybrid NX is the quickest in the lineup, while Lexus says you can also drive up to 37 miles on electricity alone.
