RIP: These Are All The Discontinued Cars That Died In 2020 (Full List)

As we (thankfully) leave 2020 behind, these are the cars that rolled off into the sunset

Honda: Civic Si*, Civic Coupe, Fit

First, a bit of a caveat with this one. There is a new Honda Civic coming. And yes, there will be a new Civic Si to go with that. However, Honda is skipping the 2021 model year for the current, tenth-generation Si, rendering that model dead in the United States. Bear in mind, Honda built that car in the UK, and as it’s shutting the Swindon plant in light of Brexit, the gap makes sense. The eleventh-generation model, for its part, will be assembled in the U.S. Since it didn’t sell too well, the next-gen Civic won’t offer a coupe version either — just the hatchback and sedan.

Then there’s the little Honda Fit. It’s been around for over a decade in the U.S. market, and it’s a fun little car for sure. Like other small hatchbacks (looking at you, Sonic), it hasn’t been a strong seller though. As such, Honda decided not to bring over their new Fit when they introduced it to other global markets. So, if you want a small and inexpensive Honda you’ll have to buy a Civic instead.

Honda’s new Fit is a hybrid, not that it matters for our market.
