Will the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Have a MySky Power Retractable Roof? [Spy Photos]

All Jeep fanatics are probably well aware that the 2018 Jeep JL is right around the corner. However, Jeep has not revealed the vehicle yet. As such, we don’t have a great idea about what improvements will be coming to the all new Jeep Wrangler JL. Fortunately, the folks over on the JL Wrangler Forums have come across some really interesting spy photos. In this thread JL Wrangler Forum member @itsphil contributed some pictures that reveal this prototype Wrangler to have a slightly different cluster of switches in its overhead console, located above the mirror.

Very keenly, the JL Warangler Forum folks pointed out that this cluster very closely resembles the overhead console of a Jeep Renegade fitted with the MySky power assisted roof option (video above). This guess was later confirmed to be “on the right track” by “trusted sources”. Upon comparing this photo to the Renegade’s MySky, there are certainly some huge similarities.

Does this mean that the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL will have the same system? Not necessarily, but it is certainly a confidence inspiring indicator. The JL Wrangler Forum folks presume that the final system will combine both a power assisted portion, as well as a mechanically operated portion. Either way, this would be a huge addition for the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL. This has not been confirmed by Jeep so be sure to stay tuned to TFLcar.com for more news regarding the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL.

Very special thanks to the people from the JL Wrangler Forums, who contacted us about these images shortly after they received them. Be sure to give their site a look for more information regarding the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL as well.
