LA Auto Show – 2013 Porsche Cayman adds Power and goes on Diet

The 2013 Porsche Cayman get a new streamlined look which is similar to recently redesigned Boxster.  The new Cayman continues the trend of pushing the performance envelope even further, and it is sure to make sports car enthusiasts everywhere rejoice.  The Cayman 2.7 liter boxer-six motor produce 275 hp and 213 lb-ft of torque, which is 10 hp and 7 lb-ft more than the Boxster.  While the Cayman S uses the 3.4-liter six-cylinder with an output of 325 hp and 272 lb-ft, the same bump of 10 hp and 7 lb-ft compared to the Boxster S.

The dimensions and the capacities of the Cayman mirror those of Boxster.  It rides on the same 97.4-inch wheelbase, which is 2.3 inches longer than the outgoing model. The new Cayman is also watching its figure and lowers its curb weight to 2,888 pounds (2,954 with PDK) for the base model.  The Cayman S equipped with a manual and PDK weighs in at 2,910 and 2,976 respectively.
