Some people are incapable of even the simplest of tasks (shoelace tying comes to mind) without a soundtrack. We know; there are times in life when you NEED to have that song to accompany your drive. In the old days, we (and by “we” I mean “you”) caused accidents digging through your tape collection to find it. Remember those days when you would weave wildly through traffic seeking that ONE song you needed to hear? If you were lucky, it was only a few minutes away from playing that song after rewinding.
How about those (*#&%$ CDs? Remember the days when you would place your CD in a holder on your sun-visor? Remember attempting to EXTRACT those tightly fitting CDs only to have the little buggers slip between the seat and door? How about chronic skipping of recently burnt CDs?
I’ll hold off on 8-tracks and AM radio… life must have been hard back then.
Sometimes, having the tunes you’re trying to hum at your fingertips gives you that perfect moment. We are very lucky to have near instant access to MP3 players that give us the tunes we need – right now!
So, what kinds of music are we playing and why? I listed some choices below – but that’s simply based on what I have on my MP3 player.
Do you disagree with these choices?
Fine, add a song or two to the list and join TFLcar.com immortality.
Here’s an example from my WIFE in the category of, “Songs that make the scenery blur”
“Take a Chance on Me” ABBA
“Go-Daddy-O” Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
“Rudie Can’t Fail” The Clash
The “Wife” (or “She who Must be Obeyed”) likes these songs and likes to down-shift and accelerate to the down beat.
