Not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to attend the International Motorcycle Exhibition in Milan, Italy, which is officially known as the Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo e Motociclo e Accessori, or more simply referred to as the EICMA Show. This year was the 71st edition of the EICMA Show, which is the biggest motorcycle show in the world, with the most new-bike unveilings and the largest floor plan. More than 1,000 manufacturers of riding machines, gear and accessories from 35 different countries exhibit their wares at the legendary show.
If this car looks unreal or too wild, then you are right. However, anybody with a PlayStation 3 game console and Gran Turismo 6 video game can have access to it. The Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision GT concept was created by Mercedes design studio to be used as a model in the upcoming Gran Turismo 6 race simulator.
As such, this AMG Mercedes has the virtual performance to match its wild look. It uses a turbo-charged V8 engine with 577 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. It should have scorching performance as it’s said to weigh a mere 3,000 lbs. Will its ultra-low profile tires be able to take the punishment?

Infiniti continues it global strategy with the introduction of the Infiniti Q30 Concept at the 2013 LA Show. This concept was first shown at the Frankfurt show this September. Infiniti did not yet disclose technical specifications for the Q30 compact premium car, but the company hopes it invokes a positive emotional response and attracts a young and affluent customer.
Infiniti referenced industry research that shows this luxury segment will expand in the near future. This type of car is meant for a young professional who lives in the city and The upcoming 2015 Infiniti Q30 will compete against the likes of the Audi A3, BMW 1-series, Lexus CT, and Mercedes-Benz CLA. This is a similar marketing strategy being used for the Buick Encore, BMW X4, and Mercedes-Benz GLA.
Infiniti also pointed out that Q30 will be a competent performer, as it received design input from Infiniti Director of Performance (aka. Sebastian Vettel, aka. four-time Formula 1 World Champion).

There’s some good news for Tesla as Consumer Reports released their annual owner satisfaction survey and the Tesla Model S placed at the top of the list.
Not only did the car place at the top, but it did so with a near perfect rating. It scored 99 out of a possible 100 which Consumer Reports says is the best any car has done in years.
Tesla toppled another electric vehicle, the Chevy Volt, from the top of the list where it had sat for the last two years in a row. It fell to the number three position with a score of 91. In the middle of the two sitting at second place with a score of 95 was the Porsche Boxster.
Despite its slip down the rankings to third place, the Chevy Volt didn’t so much perform badly as the Tesla Model S performed outstandingly. Last year, to get the number one spot, the Volt only had to score a 92. That’s just one point higher than this year’s 91 score and it still would have left them in third place this time around.
Reports by Tesla owners about their high satisfaction with their cars is in line with what Consumer Reports experienced in their ratings of the Tesla Model S back in May of this year. They gave it a near perfect score, too.
The owner satisfaction ratings in the survey are based on the responses of 350,000 subscribers who have purchased cars in the last several years. Those subscribers were asked if they would purchase the same car again which gave the percentage rankings to each vehicle.
The survey was conducted before the three reported engine fires in the Model S, but given how enthusiastic owners have been about their Teslas, including the owner of one of the vehicles that caught fire, it’s doubtful doing the survey again today would knock them from their perch.
