According to EPA estimates, the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC 350E gets the best all-electric range in its class. 54 miles on a charge is pretty impressive for any PHEV.
The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC 350E PHEV is a new plug-in hybrid that packs a punch – both economically and with real power numbers. Equipped with a 2.0-liter, inline four-cylinder turbocharged engine that makes 201 horsepower, and 236 lb-ft of torque, things change with the electric motor. That electric motor makes 134 horsepower, and 325 lb-ft of torque. According to Mercedes-Benz, the numbers jump to 313 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque – combined.
Mercedes-Benz estimates the 350E can run from 0-60 mph in 6.2-seconds (estimated).
Paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, the powertrain sends power to all four wheels via Mercedes-Benz’s vaunted 4MATIC system. The hybrid system is the big story here. According to the automaker the 24.8 kWh (usable) lithium ion battery has a charging capacity of 11 kW AC and 60 kW DC. They state that “the standard 60-kW DC charging capacity enables a full battery charge to be achieved in as little as 30 minutes.'”
More details are available (here).
Putting the all-electric range of 54 miles aside, Mercedes-Benz says that the GLC 350E can achieve 60 MPGe city, 70 MPGe highway and 64 MPGe combined. Without using the electric motor, it gets 23 MPG city, 28 MPG highway and 25 MPG combined. The automakes states that the 350E will behave like an EV around town. That minimizes the need for gasoline when commuting.
There are several options available, and the packaging starts with the Standard, Exclusive and Pinnacle trims.
“four MANUFAKTUR finishes, 13 different upholstery selections and six wheel designs that include two
new wheels exclusive to the GLC 350e. The available AMG Line and exterior Night Package enable further individualization.”
