This Nissan Z special edition wants to take you back to 1969.
Even when it rolled onto the scene a couple years ago, the seventh-generation Nissan Z was already a throwback to sports cars gone by. Now, the 2024 Heritage Edition lays it on even thicker with accents and a paint scheme harkening back to the good old days of the original 240Z.
This limited-run car is based on the new 2024 Nissan Z Performance model, with all the trappings that brings. You get a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine putting out 400 horsepower, as well as a limited-slip differential that you don’t get on the base Sport model. Akebono performance brakes with red calipers are part of the package, as are items like a Bose audio system, leather-trimmed seats and spoilers both front and rear.
Like the standard car, you can fit the Heritage Edition with a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission.
Heritage Edition-specific features include the New Sight Orange paint, as well as wider fenders covering the 19-inch wheels. Nissan contrasts the bright orange paint with black decals along the hood and the sides, while you also get Heritage Edition decals around the Z badging behind the rear quarter windows.
Nissan did not mention exactly how many Heritage Edition models it plans to build. However, it does say this will be “limited in quantity” with its “exclusive design elements”. Each example will carry a $60,275 price tag (including $1,140 destination), and will go on sale later this summer.
