Driven and Reviewed: Top 5 Best Off-Road Worthy New Crossovers [Video]

TFLCar Top 5 off-road worthy crossover SUVs

What is the best off-road crossover SUV of 2016?

There are crossover SUVs of all shapes and sizes, and many of them are available with all-wheel drive for all-weather capability. Some perform better than others, so Roman and Nathan came up with a list of the top 5 AWD crossovers that are highly proficient at maintaining traction under challenging conditions.

Few can top the Jeep Wrangler’s true 4WD off-road capability and affordability, but there are many other AWD crossovers that do well off-road. Even if you never plan on driving on anything more difficult than a gravel road, a tough off-road test will also hint at the vehicle’s AWD aptitude on roads that are slippery, mushy, muddy, and covered with snow and ice. Having a good set of mud and snow tires also helps with traction.

In this episode of TFLCar Talk, Roman and Nathan reveal the best 2016 off-road worthy crossover that they have driven thus far. And why they believe that the Acura RDX, Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot, Mercedes-Benz GLA 250, and Range Rover Evoque are top performers in when it comes to traction.

While Roman and Nathan haven’t driven every 2016 SUV on the market, we appreciate your input if you think there are other all-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive crossovers that should be mentioned.
