Honda CR-V and Compact Crossovers Are Red-Hot in April 2015 [Sales Report]

The compact crossover segment continues to be red-hot and the Honda CR-V is the prime example. It holds a narrow lead over the Chevy Equinox, but the CR-V was the best selling vehicle in the entire Honda lineup. It sold more units than the Civic or the Accord.

The Chevy Equinox made a huge jump to second place for the month of April. It grew 42.0% for the month. The best improved title goes to the Nissan Rogue (44.5% growth), although it is in fifth place. The Ford Escape showed improvement as it goes up to third place. It can still challenge the Equinox and the CR-V for the lead.

Despite showing solid growth, the Toyota RAV4 is now in fourth place. It is still in the fight within the top five. The Jeep Cherokee continues to improve. It holds a solid sixth place and is looking up to the top five.

Every compact crossover listed here grew during the month of April 2015. This segment is growing in significance with every month.
