But Will The Kiddos Like It? The 2015 Kia Sedona [First Impression]

2015 Kia Sedona

Let’s face it, if you’re looking to purchase mini-van, you more than likely have kids. And kids have high standards for their backseat property. They want features, they want comfort, they want fun. And they partially get it in the 2015 Kia Sedona.

The Kia Sedona is a 7-passenger minivan with a 3.3L V6. It’s good for 276 horsepower and 248 lb/ft of torque. Power goes to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission. EPA fuel ratings are 17 mpg in the city and 22 mpg out on the highway, with a combined mpg of 19.

But kids won’t be excited by numbers. They’ll be excited by their backseat space. The second row features two captains chairs that recline far enough back to hit their siblings in the third row, with the added benefit of a foot rest. There are also cup holders galore, sunroof, window shades, a USB port, and a power outlet.

The one thing that is missing in the 2015 Kia Sedona is a rear seat entertainment system. Competitors Honda Odyssey, Toyota Sienna, and Chrysler Town and Country all offer entertainment for the kiddos. While it is possible to get an aftermarket system installed, it’s much easier to drive it off the lot with all the electronics already in place.

Look for a full review of the 2015 Kia Sedona soon, but in the meantime, Roman took the Sedona on a First Drive a few months ago.
