Jaguar XF has been around since 2009. It got a refresh in 2012 and picked up AWD for 2013. Now we picked up the 2016 Jaguar XF prototypes testing at high altitude of Colorado.
These prototypes are well covered with camouflage, but they have a very sleek coupe-like roof line that makes for a long and aggressive appearance.
The new sedan is pointed directly at the BMW 5-series, Mercedes E-Class, and the Audi A6. The silhouette of these prototypes does have a hint of the Audi A6 and also Jaguar XJ.
The 2016 Jaguar XF will surely use company’s selection of 3.0L supercharged V6 engines. It may also get the 2.0L turbocharged engine from the Land Rover side of the house. XFR and the XF SVR high performance versions will likely use the 5.0L supercharged V8 withe several power levels.
