After only seeing the next generation Volvo XC90 covered up by camouflage, the Swedish automaker has revealed some of the more subtle design features in preparation for the big unveiling in late August. In our latest sneak peak at the XC90 we get a close up glimpse of the new headlight design.
Taken from several other concept models in the Volvo line-up, we are glad to report that this cutting edge SUV will indeed feature the awesome “Thors hammer” headlight design. This will definitely become a trademark Volvo touch that will simply make the front of this sporty family hauler and future Volvo cars strong and aggressive.
The hammer itself is a day time running light, with the traditional headlight illuminating with what might be LEDs behind it. Soon there will be no doubt that there is an XC90 driving behind you when seeing those dual “Thors hammer” headlights in your rearview mirror.
