The Volvo Polestar S60 and V60 represent the sportiest Volvos and debuted at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show. Available only Black Sapphire and Rebel Blue, the 2015 Volvo Polestar S60 and V60 are the most unique Volvos currently built. The power figures are awesome.
Both vehicles get the same engine and drivetrain combination. A 345 horsepower, turbocharged, six-cylinder, three-liter engine that makes 369 lbs-feet of torque is hooked up to a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters. The Haldex all-wheel drive (AWD) system comes standard. Volvo has no plans to sell a manual 2015 Volvo Polestar S60 and V60 in the United States. Bummer.
Unusually, Volvo is rather mum about their new supercharged/turbocharged engine being beefed up for Polestar duty.
Volvo claims a 0-62 mph acceleration time of 4.9 seconds for both models. Top speed is limited to 155 mph.
