The 2015 Nissan GT-R NISMO cranked out a 7:08.679 lap time on the Nürburgring racetrack. That’s friggin fast. Nissan says they killed the record for a volume production car. Yes, the Porsche 918 was much faster, but Nissan claims that the 918 isn’t a “volume” production car. Say what you will about Nissan’s perspective, the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo is blindingly fast on a track.
The Fast Lane Car was lucky enough to get a brief walk-around introduction to the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo with a Nissan Executive. The most notable aspect of the walk-around was the fact that all of the extra components added to the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo was put there for speed – not for looks.
Honestly, it would take a full-blown racing track with a pro driver to explore the limits of the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo. This is not the GT-R for the every-man. Fortunately for Nissan, they sell that too. Even in its base spec – the Nissan GT-R is ridiculously fast and out-performs just about every vehicle in its class.
In this video, we get a chance to see a few goodies the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo comes with. We were lucky to get this preview while visiting the 2014 Chicago Auto Show. Prepare to drool and enjoy the video!
