The Lexus LF-NX Turbo will be a small crossover with a sporty look and turbocharged power too. It should be pretty much the same size as a Toyota RAV4. How do I know? We saw one testing at high altitude and caught some interesting footage of the Lexus LF-NX Turbo’s test mule.
Looking at the photos, it’s easy to see how we were so confused by the exterior design and the fact that the test mule was using so many Toyota RAV4 components. It looks like the Lexus LF-NX Turbo shares the same platform with the current model RAV4. It’s not that much of a surprise given the competition having small sporty crossovers, Lexus had to respond.
Check out the story (here).
The details are painfully thin, but we can deduce that Lexus is (finally) embracing turbocharged power.
“The Lexus LF-NX concept, which made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show earlier this year, has been outfitted with a newly-developed 2.0-liter turbo engine for guaranteed power and improved fuel economy.
A lower center of gravity, emphasized by the front under spoiler, gives the turbo model a sportier look. The LF-NX cuts a lean profile, with its compact, sharp body and bold tires conveying SUV-unique power and an exciting drive. Inside, the new remote touch interface with touchpad functionality provides an advanced 2013, user-friendly experience unique to Lexus.” – – Lexus Media
We will be keeping a very close eye on the developement of the Lexus LF-NX Turbo.
