Video review: The first Chinese Volvo is a fast, flabby, seriously safe ride

Now that Chinese car-maker Geely owns Volvo: meet the new 2011 Volvo S60 T6 AWD sedan: the very first new Chinese Volvo.

With a 300 HP engine and all-wheel0drive the new 2011 Volvo S60 is certainly fast.

Volvo says that the S60 will zip for 0-60 in under six seconds.

And unlike previous generations of Volvos, the new model is anything but square. With swoopy design lines and dare we say a sexy tail, the 2011 Volvo S60 will surprise many traditional buyers who have come to except a much less curvy car.

The new Scandinavian ride is also luxurious and of course safe. The car just bristles with safety technology including a system that warms you when you are departing your lane, and a system that will actually stop the car should another car suddenly brake ahead of you or  should a child dart into the road.

But there’s still one question that remains.

Is a Chinese Volvo the Asian ying to the Scandinavian yang? Check out our driven video review below.
