If you don’t like Government Motors…buy a Chevy: General Motors Vice Chairman Bob Lutz

This week at the Detroit Auto Show, General Motors Vice Chairman Bob Lutz had a few strong words for conservative talking heads like Rush Limbaugh and their listeners.

Lutz told reporters (see video below) that if they don't like the fact
that the Federal Government owns General Motors, they should go out and
buy a Chevy. Lutz finished the statement with an emphatic, "Now!"

General Motors Vice Chairman Bob Lutz downplayed the importance of electric and hybrid cars for the future of General Motors at the recent GM new car and concept car debut at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show.

The longtime auto industry insider suggested that hybrid cars are not as important as the press would lead the public to believe.

He also had some strong words for those who don't like the recent GM bailout…if you don't like your tax dollars going to bailout GM buy a Chevy…now!

While electricity was certainly in the air (and even in many of the
cars at the 2010 North American International Auto Show) there was also
a fun amount of sexy speed on display.

We picked up the 2010 Toyota Avalon at the airport after return to Denver from the Detroit Auto Show.

The shinny black car was glistening in the sun at the park and fly lot with the engine running…ready for the trip back to the office.

First impressions are often right on the money and the Avalon certainly seems to be a leisurely ride.

It sort of floats down the highway (not that there is anything wrong with that) in a easy going laid back manner.
