2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Review and Drive Update

IMG_3243

The 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee has always been one of our favorite on-road and off-road rides.

For 2012 the Jeep Grand Cherokee remains largely unchanged never-the-less we we decided to update our experience with the Jeep by taking it for a four day test drive through Chicago and the nearby towns and suburbs.

After putting hundreds of miles on the Jeep we came away impressed with the cars ability to carry five in comfort and security.

Our Jeep Grand Cherokee had the optional 340 HP 5.7L HEMI that proved to be not only powerful but also fast. It turns the off-road Jeep into a dragster but it also comes at a price.

Check out this latest TFLcar video review to find out what that price is.

We recently had a chance to chat with the man behind the Karma who shares the car’s companies name.

Check out this video interview with Henrik Fisker as he talks all about the new Karma that he built and designed as well as the secret that he says will make his car and his company a success.

The 2012 Fiat 500 convertible is a tiny small and very European Car.

The 2012 Fiat 500 is also a tiny small and somewhat European Car. We put these two to the test to see which one is better for American-sized roads and driving habits.

In the process we also wanted to see which one is faster…the convertible with the automatic six speed transmission or the hardtop with the five speed manual transmission?

Both cars have the same engine. Check this fun TFLcar Mashup review below.

Video review: The tiny 2012 Toyota Prius C hybrid takes on America’s second biggest state

2012-Toyota-Prius-c

The 2012 Toyota Prius C is the latest, smallest and cheapest addition to the growing line-up of Prius Hybrid cars.

It joins the minivan like Prius V as well as the soon to be sold Prius plug-in hybrid. The new Prius C gets an massive 53 MPG in the city, 46 MPG on the highway and a combined 50 MPG making it one of the most fuel efficient cars that you can buy in America that does not plug into the wall.

We recently had the chance to drive and review this tiny Prius in Austin Texas. Here’s what we can tell you. Check out the First Drive video reviw below.

Review: The 2012 Subaru Impreza is a fuel-sipping AWD runabout that will make you smile

2012-subaru-impreza-wagon

The compact Impreza is the smallest model in Subaru’s auto lineup and is one of its most popular ones, with standard all-wheel drive. Faced with greater competition,  it makes sense that the fourth-generation Impeza has arrived as a much-improved 2012 model.

Subarus long have been gotten high marks tackling tough New England winters, but the automaker has been striving for some time to make its vehicles more popular throughout the country.

Major features include much-needed sleeker styling, with such things as a sharply raked windshield and crisp character lines. However, the low front end can be damaged by curbs and other such obstacles if a driver isn’t careful.

Fisker_Karma_021

The 2012 Fisker Karma Plug-in Hybrid is like no other car on this earth. It is stunningly beautiful, very expensive, and if you plug it in every night and don’t drive over 40 miles, it can also be very green.

It is the first green luxury sports sedan that is solely propelled only by two electric motors. Of course the Karma also has a gasoline engine to charge up the battery when the juice gets low so you can drive it about 300 miles on a tank full like a traditional car.

The Karma is also very big and very heavy. At over 5000 pounds it owns the road (and it should) because it costs a little bit over 100K. Check out our first drive review below.

Has your pick-up outgrown your neighborhood?

You are a hard working handyman or handywoman, contractor, construction worker, or a landscaper, and you are always on the go. You live in the suburbs, and you put on a ton of miles on your trusty heavy duty pickup. Simply, you cannot put bread on the table without your vehicle.

On the other hand, you may be an avid outdoors enthusiast and you own a heavy duty truck to tow your boat and/or your big camping trailer. Maybe you fall into both categories? Whatever the case is, you are a proud owner of a big vehicle with a Cummins, Powerstroke, or Duramax badge on it.
