The Toyota Highlander is a mainstay in the three-row crossover market.

Just like the smaller RAV4 dominates the compact crossover segment, so too does the Highlander throw its weight around as one of the most popular midsize three-row crossovers on American streets. It’s been building that momentum over the past 25 years, and Toyota announced a special Highlander Hybrid-based anniversary model to celebrate the generations since the model originally launched back in 2000.

The main focus for this year’s Highlander updates center around that 25th Anniversary Hybrid, based on the Limited trim. Shown here in Heavy Metal silver, this particular model is also available in Wind Chill white, with a newly available Portobello interior. The front, rear and side rocker panels get the same silver treatment, while you’ll also get special puddle lamps and 25th Edition badges on the door sills, floor mats, headrests and tailgates. Since the model is built on the Limited trim, you also get features like a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and infotainment display, three-zone automatic climate control and an 11-speaker JBL audio system.

Mechanically, the 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid 25th Edition doesn’t get any special upgrade over standard hybrid models. Across the board, however, all Highlander Hybrid models will come with all-wheel drive by default. Moving forward, Highlander Hybrid models will also get Toyota’s “Beyond Zero” badging.

Front-wheel drive is still available on the nonhybrid model, and that’s where you’ll find the most affordable version. The FWD 2025 Toyota Highlander LE starts at $40,970 including destination. The higher-end nonhybrid XSE, for its part, gets the 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster from the Limited and Platinum trims.

2025 Highlander models will go on sale in November.
