12. 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser/Lexus LX (8.9 inches)
[photo: Toyota]If the GX isn’t large enough for your liking, you can step up a segment into the Toyota Land Cruiser. If you prefer to keep the Lexus badge, you buy the LX. Both models have 8.9 inches of ground clearance and are built upon the legendary reputation of Toyota’s FJ Land Cruiser. A body-on-frame chassis coupled to a 383 horsepower, 5.7-liter V8 and full-time four-wheel-drive give these cars some old-school charm.
One potential downside to the Land Cruiser is its eye-watering $84,775 starting price. The Lexus, naturally, is even more expensive, at just north of $91,000. If you have the cash, there are few cars on the road as formidable as this pair.
At $49/month, the new Fiat 500e was a tempting deal when I picked it up last year. Is it worth taking the plunge, or should you avoid such a deal even at that price (or less)?
Mercedes-AMG announced this special SL63 Golden Coast as a 100-unit nod to its Manufaktur personalization program, with the exclusive model set to hit dealers later this month.
