The next-generation 2018 Jeep Wrangler will begin production in Toledo in November, a Toledo Blade article stated.
In the article, United Auto Workers Local 12 President Bruce Baumhower said that the production will start in November, six months after Cherokee production moves to Belvedere, Illinois. The Compass and Patriot ended production there on December 23.
The current-generation Wrangler, known as the JK, will continue production alongside the new JL Wrangler until March 2018 when that part of the factory will be switched to producing the new Wrangler pickup, the article stated.
Fiat Chrysler invested $700 million in the Toledo plant to retool it for new Wrangler production.
