The Fast Lane Car is gathering all the information we can for you on the 2016 Toyota Prius. In its latest model of fuel efficiency, Toyota claims to have made efforts to improve the car’s dynamics so the hybrid can compete with non-hybrid cars from a driving experience standpoint. Driving dynamics is probably not something high on many Prius driver’s list of priorities but perhaps it will make converts of non-believers. Inside, the car has an optional 10-speaker JBL sound system and tech features such as Bluetooth and SIRI eyes-free, which will allow iPhone users to send and receive texts without taking their eyes off the road.
Rated at 54/50 hwy/city mpg, the 2016 Prius starts at $24,200 and top of the line models will have a base price at $30,000. For commuters looking to squeeze out even more distance from each drop of gas, there is the Prius 2 ECO, which utilizes a lithium-ion battery as opposed to the standard nickel-metal hydride battery. MPG numbers for the ECO are 58/53 hwy/city.
