Get ready to experience the speed, power, and adrenaline rush of NHRA drag racing. In this video, the pilots of the crazy fast machines that nearly explode when the light turns green explain the mechanics of what a Top Fuel Funny Car driver must endure in quarter-mile racing. That being said, nothing can really prepare you for the launch off the line that is so violent and loud, even spectators in the grandstands are assaulted with the noise and vibrations that nearly pound the body senseless.
In this video Matt Hagan, Allen Johnson, and Jack Beckman describe their perspective from the cockpit and what is called upon for them to pull of a successful 4 second, 1,000 foot run, and survive to drive the next heat.

Matt explains the driver controls and how the cockpit is setup in his Mopar Express Lane/Rocky Boots 2015 Dodge Charger R/T.
