Honda Accord was the number one seller in December by a big margin and also growing nearly 10% over December 2012. However, this surge was not enough to dethrone the venerable Toyota Camry. The Camry sold a total of 408,484 units in 2013 and grew marginally year-over-year. It is now the best selling sedan in United States for the 12th year in a row.
Fifth place was hotly contested between the Chevrolet Malibu and Hyundai Sonata. Although the Malibu had a great December, it was not quiet enough to grab the fifth spot for the year.
The all-new 2014 Mazda6 continued big gains and grabbed 10th place just above the Subaru Legacy.
