The all-new 2014 Toyota Corolla will come in four main trim levels: L, LE, LE Eco, and S.  And now we know the starting prices and included equipment.  It all starts with the L model and includes a 6-speed manual transmission for a starting MSRP of $16,800 (this is $570 higher than 2013 model).  Hooray!  A manual transmission will be offered.  Thank you Toyota!  If you would like an automatic, it will be a 4-speed (that’s correct 4 speed) automatic for $600 more at $17,400.  The L comes with LED headlights, bluetooth, 8 airbags, and a host of latest safety equipment.

Next is the LE model that starts at $18,300 and comes with fuel economy minded CVTi-S transmission.  This starting price is just $120 higher than previous generation 2013 Corolla LE.  Standard features include: backup camera, climate control, cruise control, keyless entry, and Entune audio with 6.1 inch touchscreen.

There is also the LE Eco, which takes MPGs to the max with 140hp engine, special aerodynamic treatments, and unique CVT i-S tuning.  The Eco model starts at $18,700 and will offer EPA rated 42 MPG on the highway.

And finally, we have the sporty S model – starting at $19,000.  This model has the go faster goodies: aggressive styling with piano black accents, sporty suspension with 17 inch wheels, paddle shifters and the CVT that can act in sequential 7-speed mode, sporty gauges, supportive seats, and leather steering wheel.

Nathan is testing the new Corolla as we speak, and that video with his first impressions is coming in a couple of days.  In the meantime, watch this video of the Corolla “Furia” concept that we caught at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show.
