Track Week: Winner – 2014 Nissan GT-R reviewed on Race Track

2014 nissan gt-r premium race track review

This is it!  We have counted down all the way to the number one TFLcar Track Week (top ten) car.  Track Week is where we take every day cars and put them through their paces at the High Plains Raceway in Colorado.  TFLcar team attended the annual RMDE event put on by the RMAP association, and Roman wanted to see how these cars compare to each other on the race track.  So, we mounted the cameras and the SoloDL GPS data recorder, and Roman went out in search of the best lap times.

It may come as no surprise that the 2014 Nissan GT-R Premium won this series of race track reviews.  Where the 2013 Camaro SS 1LE was quick, grippy, confident, and fun on the track — the GT-R takes all those good qualities and ratchets them up to 11.  The sticky tires and all-wheel-drive provide relentless grip.  The hand-built twin turbo 3.8-liter V6 throws you in the back of the seat at every opportunity thanks to 545 hp.  Much like the Subaru BRZ and the Camaro, Godzilla is a gentle beast on the track and forgives driver mistakes.  It’s difficult for mere mortals to get close to GT-R’s limits on the race track.  We will keep trying.  We cannot wait to get back to High Plains Raceway for more hot laps.
