The 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is finally unveiled in all its glory. It’s full of “Magic” technology and classic style. It’s not a dramatic redesign, but a gentle evolution to take the Mercedes flagship into the future. Daimler AG Chairman, Dr Dieter Zetsche, calls it “the best automobile in the world”. We will have to wait for first driving impressions and full reviews to see if Dr. Z is on the money.
In the meantime, we can enjoy the many images that Mercedes provided. Interestingly, the new S-Class comes out with environmentally friendly S350 BlueTEC diesel and the S400 Hybrid drivetrain options. We have to assume that S550, S600, S63 AMG, and S65 AMG V8 and V12 models will also come in due time. Perhaps, owners can have several 2014 S-Class in their stable. The Hybrid for the daily grind, and the S65 AMG for when they feel naughty?
