The 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG debuted at the New York Auto Show with 355 hp, a 0-60 time of about 4.5 seconds and plenty of appeal for buyers looking for a more affordable Mercedes option. It has all the styling and handling one would expect from Mercedes with enough power to please more performance oriented drivers.
It’s powered by a single-turbo, 2.0-liter, four-cylinder M133 AMG engine with a twin-scroll BorgWarner turbocharger that gives it up to 26 psi of boost. The engine is then paired with a seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic. This is truly a performance coupe that still has enough room for the whole family.
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG tops out at an electronically-limited 155 mph. Although other versions of the CLA will be front-wheel drive with an all-wheel drive option, the more powerful AMG is only available as an all-wheel drive vehicle.
The interior of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG continues the performance focus with leather sports seats, brushed aluminum and a multi-function steering wheel. Plenty of options will allow owners to customize their car and create their ideal driving experience.
Pricing has yet to be announced, but you can expect to shell out around $50K when the vehicle starts arriving in showrooms later this year
