Is there a way to make the 2013 Ford Focus ST better? According to this Focus TrackSTer concept that was revealed at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show – the answer is a resounding yes! All you have to do is team up with the customizers from fifteen52 and Ken Block.
The project goals for the TrackSTer included: doubling the engine output, putting the power to ground in the best way possible, improving the suspension and the brakes, and adding functional and stylish exterior modifications. Also, this monster should feel at home on the street just much as on the race track. This translates to a Focus which delivers around 500 hp to the ground via an all wheel drive system. It has an adjustable suspension that can be tuned for either street or race use. It has bigger brake rotors and beefed components to allow for fade-free braking. And, of course, you can tell this is a special Focus by the addition of rally style wide-body fenders, aggressive wheels and tires, and large spoilers and splitters front and back.
Wow, this is one mean Focus! From the outside the look of the TrackSTer draws a lot of parallels to Ken Block’s latest Gymkhana Ford Fiesta race car. The lower stance, the wheel design, and the wheel flares all combine for a race car presence. This car just begs you to put on your helmet and go attack some cones.
