Editor’s note: Not only do I see the Audi R8 V10 as the best Audi ever built – I think it’s one of the best cars out there. It’s too subtle to be a hypercar and, although it’s a supercar, it’s the easiest to live with day to day. Yes, the Nissan GTR is too, but it’s a different type of machine that replaces the mechanical finesse of the Audi with digital precision.
The only other vehicle that feels like it should be directly compared with the Audi R8 V10 is the Porsche 911 turbo.
