Finally we seem to be back in the swing of the auto show season. With Paris fresh in our minds and SEMA coming in early November, the focus of the automotive world is certain to shift towards Los Angeles for the next major reveals and news from the auto industry. Along with numerous other automakers, Mazda have announced their plans to reveal a new vehicle in LA this year, the all-new 2017 Mazda CX-5.
Unfortunately, Mazda have elected to not give us a whole lot more information about the CX-5. We do know two important details, the first being that this redesigned CX-5 will follow the same KODO or ‘soul of motion’ design that has graced much of the rest of Mazda’s handsome lineup.
Additionally, Mazda have told us that they will be holding a press conference at 12:50 PM PST on November 16, two days before the show opens to the public. Otherwise, all we really have to go off of is the small glimpse of the cars look pictured above.
Of course the crossover segment is red hot, and necessitates an excellent vehicle to remain competitive. Whether or not the new CX-5 will be up to the task is anyone’s guess, but Mazda have been making some remarkable cars lately, so don’t be surprised if this car makes a strong statement about Mazda’s place in the market.
Roman had the chance to drive another one of Mazda’s latest offerings in the all-new 2016 Mazda CX-9. To see what he thought, and to get a picture of how the CX-5 may perform, be sure to watch the video below:
