You have likely heard about the recent introduction of the 2014 SRT Viper TA and it’s successful record attempt at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. One of the guys working hard to make this happen was SRT Viper engineer, Erich Heuschele. Erich and team were fully committed to that challenge. He even agreed to shave his head if they were successful. Erich’s hair is growing back now and he was at the High Plains Raceway (HPR) with team TFLcar yesterday to face another challenge. This time the goal was to set a production car record at this mile high 2.55 mi road course.
Erich’s vehicle of choice was a base 2013 SRT Viper with Track Package. Erich helped to setup the traction control system on the new Viper among other things. So, you can say he knows a thing or two about how this beast behaves near the limits. Please come back tomorrow as we bring a TFLcar exclusive video of Erich’s record setting run.
