News: Audi Redesigns Its US Website, Adds Google Search

audi usa website

Usually, automaker’s site redesign is not that big a deal.  However, in the case of Audi, their old site needed improvement.  It didn’t work very well with many browsers or mobile devices.

Now, Audi overhauls the www.audiusa.com with many noteworthy improvements.  First is the handy “title search” which is prominent and available on every page and is powered by Google.  It’s not as good as plain old google.com , but it’s now much easier to find what you are looking for and it also provides image results related to your searches.  The site is easier to navigate on a mobile device.  I was able to quickly find technical specs for any model, and they were nicely formatted.  The detailed specs is something that most other automakers seem to make difficult to find.  Then there is also the “cinematic high-resolution car configurator”.   It’s not better than sliced bread, but it does allow you to change exterior/interior colors while in any of the numerous image views.  It uses high resolution imagery and makes option selection even easier than before.

Audi, thank you for making your website more straight forward.
