Chrysler Teases Its Next EV Concept, Set to Debut on February 13

Now that we’ve waved goodbye to the Chrysler 300, this electric concept offers a glimpse at the brand’s future.

It’s not the Airflow: Chrysler has a brand-new concept coming. That’s what we can gather from Stellantis’ announcement Monday, sharing information about their next “forward-looking” concept meant to show the road ahead for the Chrysler brand, as it leaves the long-lived 300 model behind.

This teaser image is actually the first of three, each of which will offer some insight into the “innovative electric concept car” Chrysler will fully debut on February 13. This concept is part of the brand’s efforts to both launch its first full EV in 2025, before transitioning to an all-EV portfolio in 2028. And yes, that transition will involve phasing out the brand’s only remaining model for the moment, the Pacifica minivan. It’s unclear at the moment whether the company that invented the American minivan will bring out an electric follow-up, but we should at least have some cursory information on what this concept will ultimately bring to the brand’s future vehicles when it emerges next week.

If you zoom in to the upper portion of this first teaser image, you’ll see a name subtly placed among the neon and dark purple color scheme: “Halcyon”. Chrysler did not offer any insight into that name with Tuesday’s announcement, but it did say this concept represents “one potential path of the brand’s all-electric future”.

To my mind, potential is the key word there. Keep in mind, there’s been a bit of back-and-forth about what’s happening with the Airflow concept Chrysler originally revealed back at CES 2022. We’ve been wondering exactly what Stellantis’ plan is with the Chrysler brand for years and how, exactly, it will define itself as the industry at-large shifts toward electrified vehicles. Will it be a family-oriented brand focused on the Pacifica, or will it be the bona fide luxury marque? Just like Jeep has an off-road identity and Dodge leans on performance, this concept could shed some light into clarifying Chrysler’s marketplace position.

Brand CEO Chris Feuell will present this concept and where the brand’s heading at 5:01 AM ET on February 13, and we’ll provide those updates here as well. Stay tuned!
