Toyota announced more Land Cruiser details Tuesday, including price, fuel economy and technical specs.
Update 2/20: The build and price page for the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser is online, so you can spec out whichever version you’re most interested in.
After the 300 Series left our market after the 2021 model year, we wondered whether Toyota had something up its sleeve for a new generation. We didn’t have to wait long, since the automaker summarily debuted the “250 Series” following several winks and nods about the iconic SUV’s future on our shores. Now, with the actual launch right around the corner, we have more details on how the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser will shake out to interested buyers: including how much it will cost.
To get that part out of the way first, we now know the new Land Cruiser will start at $57,445 for the base ‘1958’ model, including a $1,395 dealer processing and handling fee. As it turns out, that’s within a few hundred dollars of the 4Runner TRD Pro‘s $56,565 starting point, so today’s news makes the Land Cruiser’s positioning in the lineup even clearer. From there, the mid-range model, just called the Land Cruiser, starts at $63,345, while the limited-run First Edition kicks off at $76,345. Toyota plans to launch a mid-range model just called ‘Land Cruiser’ and a First Edition, but the company did not include pricing details on either of those models just yet. (Pricing is available through the configurator page, which went live after this post originally went up).
All 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser models come with a single hybrid powertrain. The setup utilizes the now-widespread 2.4-liter turbocharged inline-four, which makes a combined 326 horsepower with the electric motor assist. According to the company’s announcement, buyers can expect around 23 mpg combined, though again official EPA figures are not available at this time.
More details for the Land Cruiser lineup should emerge in the coming weeks, as we’re just about to officially hit the spring season.
