TFLcar reader Mike spotted this full-size Jeep out in the wild.
A full-size Jeep? Yep, it is indeed coming. However, there’s a slight caveat involved, because there may be a different three-row Jeep headed for our market than what you see here. The Jeep we’re getting is the Grand Wagoneer, which will likely debut in 2-3 years’ time. This one, on the other hand, looks more like the Grand Commander, another three-row Jeep built solely for the Chinese market. Rumors and spy shots floating around indicate a large SUV that appears largely similar to the one spotted in the picture above. This model also appears production-ready, while our three-row Jeeps won’t likely emerge for another year or so.
Reportedly, the powertrain in the Grand Commander in the Chinese market will be a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4. Final assembly of the Grand Commander will take place in China.
