Take a look at these spy shots of an Audi crossover caught testing in Maryland. Thank you to Garrett K. for providing the images.
The crossover market continues to expand and the Audi Q5 is one of the more popular premium crossovers on the market. The prototype is pictured here along-side the 2017 Audi A4 sedan that has a TDI badge on the trunk lid. This is interesting in itself. Can Audi pass all the regulations and be able to sell the TDI A4 in the United States?
Can the camouflafed vehicle be the next generation of the Q5? The roofline points in this direction.
The next Q5 is expected to arrive with the 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine as the base motor. However, it is also likely to feature a hybrid, a TDI (if the company is able to solve its diesel problems), and an SQ5 performance model.
The interesting part is that this prototype was caught testing in the United States in American-ready configuration, judging by the license plate holders.
Here is Roman and Nathan testing the 2014 Audi Q5 TDI.
