The MINI Countryman was introduced to the United States for the 2011 model year, and it brought the biggest MINI to reality. It is now time for the next generation of the Countryman, and TFLcar viewer S.B. caught this prototype testing around Malibu, CA.

The overall shape and design looks very familiar, but the prototype also appears a little bigger and boxier than the current model. If you are making the biggest MINI, then why not make it more cavernous and useful. Little details is known about the next Countryman, but it will likely share the latest powertrains with the 2015 MINI Cooper Hardtop. These are a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder or the 2.0-liter turbo four.
