Nissan’s perennial supercar, the GT-R, won’t cost any more money for 2016, despite some versions getting more power.
Nissan engineers have found a way to squeeze five more horsepower out of the 3.8 liter, twin-turbocharged V-6 for the Premium and Black Edition models, upping the output to 550. The NISMO model soldiers on with 600 horsepower.
Premium models also get new, 20-spoke aluminum wheels in a black finish.
Pricing for the Premium edition starts at $101,770, and goes up to $149,990 for the NISMO.
Nissan are also introducing a 45th Anniversary Gold Edition. For $1,000 more than the Premium, the gold edition comes with a gold-tone VIN plate and a plaque on the center console. The paint color, what Nissan calls “Silica Brass,” was also used on the 2001 Skyline GT-R M-spec. Less than 30 of the gold edition GT-Rs will be available in the US.
