The minivan segment continues to shrink in selection. It’s a good thing that Kia insists at calling this new vehicle – the 2015 Kia Sedona MPV – for Multi Purpose Vehicle. It does have two sliding doors and three rows of seats, however Kia is trying to differentiate the Sedona from competition with a more stylish package. They are also leaning heavily on the value proposition to attract loyal and new buyers alike.
It’s powered by a 3.3L V6 motor with 276 horsepower, that is backed up by a 6-speed automatic transmission. And the most fuel stingy Sedona model is rated at 25 MPG on the highway. The base model starts at $25,900, but there are five total trim levels and you can option the Sedona with nearly every luxury and technology feature you can think of. You can get nice leather, dual sunroofs, surround-view monitor, and the rear lift-gate that opens on its own when it senses the remote key.
