Have you wondered what top speed your car could manage to hit in a half mile drag race? How about taking your supercar or your one-of-a-kind project car to the Colorado Springs airport at an event like the 2014 Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack? Entrants paid a fee for access to a half-mile stretch of airliner runway and more than enough stopping distance to see just how fast their cars could drive.
How about breaking 200 MPH in the 1/2 mile? That was the goal for many participants of the inaugural 2014 Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack event and we were there to soak in the excitement! Check out the 1,170 whp Cadillac CTS-V or the 914 whp Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Super Snake and many other unique and fast cars as they take on the half mile at over a mile above sea level!
