Ford Explorer remains #1 in the large three-row crossover segment. It saw a downturn in December, but it has a dominant first place and a 12.6% year-over-year improvement. Toyota Highlander takes the second place by the narrowest of margins. It sold 127,572 units and under 900 more than the third place Honda Pilot, which took a big loss in December. Kia Sorento takes the fourth place, with Chevrolet Traverse in fifth.
GMC Acadia once again grew the most in December at 53.0% over same month of 2012. Redesigned Nissan Pathfinder had a great 2013 as it more than doubled the sales at 108.0%.
