The 2014 Jaguar 3.0 XJL is a luxurious British sedan that is powered by a supercharged 6 cylinder engine and that’s built to look sexy and drive like silk. The same can be said about the 2014 Lexus LS460 except that it is powered by a normally aspirated V8. Both cars make about the same amount of power and both cars put that power down through an 8 Speed automatic transmission to all four wheels. So which is the better ride?
In Part 2 we review the 2014 Lexus LS460 on the way up the Ike Gauntlet.
In another accurate fun and informative TFLcar review Nathan and Roman take the 2014 Jaguar 3.0 XJL and the Lexus LS460 up the Ike Gauntlet to see how the two luxurious sedans handle the steep grade.
From Dillion, Colorado to the Eisenhower Tunnel U.S. I-70 climbs 8 miles to a maximum elevation of 11,158 feet or 3,401 meters. That’s enough elevation and grade to test the 8-speed transmissions of these cars.
